I applied Grade one level of thinking in my research project. The aim of the research was to develop an automated milking system. This goal is impractical according to so many people’s conventions and believes. They are used to manual milking. During my study, I had to isolate myself in solitude so that I could think of how to develop and make the system functional. To be a computer scientist professional it is important to develop a system that is against the common thinking, which in this case is grade one see Golding (519-525).
I applied the second grade level of thinking when I discovered hypocrisy among the clergy. One Sunday morning in the church, a clergyman preached about being honest in whatever you do and say. In the same afternoon, the same clergy was making a phone call at the local centre. To my surprise, he was lying to whoever he was communicating with claiming that he was not in that country and that he flew a week ago. In this connection, I applied grade two thinking in discovering the hypocrisy of the clergy see Holt John (1974).
I experienced the idols of the den in my interaction while I was in High School. We were fooled that the only way to survive and excel in life is when you have freedom. Because of this false notion, we decided to seek freedom through strikes and class boycotts. This notion is rooted in the minds of all the school age children because of their innocence, ignorance and childhood. I came to realize later on that we did this blindly and that it is wrong because it hinders the achievement of the goals and minds development see Bacon (530-532).
